first tomato!

This is the first of MANY tomatoes! I wish they would ripen up gradually... maybe 5 at a time. BUT! 8 tomato plants all ripen up at the SAME TIME! And this year, I am not pregnant so I cant use the excuse of gagging every time I smell them so I can't can them. Bummer. I have a lot of work ahead of me. CANNING!! :)

WORMS

It's finally raining in Twin Falls!!

Naturally, I thought we should go outside this morning to go look at the worms... because they are ALL over the patio!

Ad and Char

I couldnt ask for better kids. They all really take care of eachother well. Adeline feels like she never gets enough time with Charlotte.

Dirt

As I have explained before, Beatrice is pretty creative and gets a lot done in a very short amount of time. Looking at her face... yes, well, you get the idea. I couldnt get the girl to keep clothes on and so once the dirt started happening... who cares!

"Joy School"

I am alone! :) Ok, so the baby is sleeping.

A few days a week Beatrice gets to go to our neighborhood preschool!

This morning I finally told her about it. I don't think I was ready for all the kids to be gone to school, so I didn't tell Bea about her time away. She barely let me take this picture, let alone any others. She just wanted to get to our friends house! Next week is my turn to teach the kidos! I am really excited too!

First Day of School!

Because its a proven fact that people only pay attention to the first few mins of what you say, I'd like to say this first. :)

I was awoken to a very excited Adeline dressed, complete with backpack on, and ready to go to school..... at 4:30 am!

hahahah! She is going to be a joy for her teacher today! :)

Chris got DONUTS for the kids first day! He's getting more points for being a way cool parent than I am. :) How fun!! Yep, he's excited! I think it's so he'll have an entire new set of kids in the 4th grade to tell his jokes to.
Glamor girl! Wow! She really has grown up. :) Isabel is more beautiful every day! :)

LUCKILY the charter school the kids go to has 6th grade in elementary school still. People keep on talking about how exciting it is for her to be almost 12. And in Young Women's soon. WHY? STOP! It's painful to think about! :) Sending her to Kindergarten was easier than this! We might just live in Twin Falls forever because the school they go to has a K through 12 building! Oh boy!A picture is a thousand words...
This sums it all up! They do look so nice in their uniforms, don't they. :)

And this is would have been a TOTALLY cute picture of my cute 1st grader if it were not for the wiggly baby Charlotte in my arms!!!

Parker/Phillips Family Reunion 2010

We went to Bear Lake for our family reunion. It was really fun! It was great to see my bros and sisters on my dads side of the mix and see how all the kids have grown. Oh wow was it fun.

Logan

Chris and I got to spend sometime alone... ok, so as alone as we get with having to nurse a baby. :) We had a good time on our old stomping grounds in Logan. The kids were at Granny's house and wow, did we need that! :) THANKS GRANNY!!!

I was taking pictures of all the fun architecture downtown, but then after a few pictures, I think I got distracted in the old book store ;) We spent quite awhile rummaging through old books! Then we went to the art galleries and in all the old shops. Of course, we went to our favorite restaurants too.

Spending time at the tabernacle and the temple was very sweet. Sitting there on the grass with just my husband and Char and actually talking to each other. It all felt good.

I think that maybe the last time we were at this temple was when we were sealed in it. It was really sweet to be there again together thinking and remembering of that day and all that we have grown into since that day.

Fancy Dinner

I've become one of those moms that takes pictures of almost everything! :) My kids totally excepted the camera to come out for this. In fact, now they ask why I am not taking pictures of some things. Silly

Chris made a wonderful dinner on Sunday.... I think it was (finally using those steaks you gave us Dad!) Pork Steaks with fresh orange and basil, oven cooked for hours. So, I thought it deserved a fancy table setting. The kids loved it and felt special as they drank grape juice from their crystal goblets. Maybe some day we can go out to dinner with the entire family with out a play land! :)

(those who know me, I don't go there anyway, but it sounds better on the blog, right.)

And lets be realistic... those are my PJ pants because its Sunday afternoon. :)

When one fun thing happens, something else has to give. That means.. messy kitchen. Oh, and yeah, the kitchen is still being painted. I started the kitchen one day out of total frustration... its not done yet, but it'll happen.

Chris makes me laugh. :) We have a good time together.

Grape juice is as crazy as we get around here.Beatrice gets a crystal candle votive for her glass. :)

This might be a fun new Sunday dinner tradition.... MAYBE.

I won!

Ok, so this may sound silly... me posting, or better yet, even taking a picture of me winning a game. I usually dont really care about games or even care about winning. But! this game actually takes some stragady and I figured it out in the first time playing and then won the second time I played Chris. He's here crying. I dont know from what really.... maybe from disbelif that I actually won, or his ego is brused, or that he's proud of me. :) He always wins every game.

(ok, so there was that time i won chess, that may be the reason we havent played that together in 12 years. ha!)
My response to him, with a wink, was... better watch out! I just may be on to something.

Raspberry

I was so excited to see our first Raspberry!! This little guy had a photo shoot of its own.

Do you know how long it takes to get something like that in focus?? :)

A bonus! You can see our fancy basement window covers. It was thought that we weren't ever going to be able to make things like this. HAHAH! I am actually still laughing at my encouragement as all we had was a pencil, ruler, jigsaw and drill to put these things together. Poor Chris sweating away... Amy had a real saw the entire time... which leads me to the Raspberry bushes again. Amy was so sweet to give these starts to us. Eric, her hubby even came over and planted them for me. THANKS!!! And since the camera was out... Isabel took some pictures. :)

Life just keeps going
